When Drum Housing Association, Longwood Park, Portal Housing Association, Swaythling Housing Society, Turnstone Support and Windsor Housing merged under Radian in 2006, several sets of management existed at Board level. Having six company boards was overly complicated and time consuming. It has also not allowed for residents' voices to be heard.
In September 2010 we streamlined all our partner company Boards into a single combined Group Board. This Board meets at least 5 times per year and considers all aspects of strategy and performance and compliance monitoring for Radian and its partner companies. Turnstone Support, however, continues to operate with its own separate Board, to deal with the specialist areas of its business.
Membership of the Radian Combined Board is as follows:
In order to ensure that residents (our customers) are at the heart of everything we do, we also set up new resident-led Area Panels that will focus on local services. The Area Panels' primary purpose is to help improve services for all residents, but is also an important voice on many other aspects of local housing and community priorities.
Please click here for more information about our Area Panels.
From time to time we have vacancies to join our Board and are looking for people who are willing to use their knowledge, skills and professional expertise to help us run our company.
Being a Board Member is an incredibly important role and a great way to make a significant difference to our business. As a respected and responsible role, it is also a brilliant way to develop new skills, gain more experience and a good way to get involved in supporting your community.
