Windsor Housing residents have been invited to help the Tenants Services Authority (TSA) to draw up a new set of standards for all social housing landlords. The ‘National Conversation’ is the largest tenant consultation ever, organised by the TSA, the new independent regulator for homes owned by housing associations. Their job is to ensure that all tenants receive excellent service from their landlords and so they have organised regional events, an online survey and a tour of the country to listen to views.

Some Windsor Housing residents recently attended a regional event hosted by Reading Borough Council to have their say and find out how to organise other regional ‘Local Conversations’ in their neighbourhoods.

Community Link will be hosting a Local Conversation on Tuesday 17th February from 2.30 – 4.30 pm at the VCS Resource Centre, Windsor Youth & Community Centre, Alma Road, Windsor, SL4 3HD. There are also a number of places available for residents to attend the TSA South-East regional event at Twickenham Stadium on 25th February.

If you would like to attend either the local or regional conversation events, please contact Windsor Housing’s Community Development Team. Support is available with both travel and care costs to help enable all residents to participate, and refreshments will be provided.

If you would like help to organise a Local Conversation in your area, please contact a member of the Community Development Team or your Neighbourhood Officer. Local Conversations do not have to be formal; they could just be a group of residents getting together over a cup of tea in somebody’s home or in a community centre.
