HomesinHants are offering the opportunity for prospective buyers to discover which affordable houses are currently available in Southampton and the surrounding area, what financial help is on offer, as well as benefitting from legal advice, all under the one roof.
In order to help potential buyers get on the property ladder, there are a wide variety of government backed financial schemes available which can be applied for at the HomeBuy Show.
Depending on your circumstances, you could qualify for the New Build HomeBuy scheme, where you need only raise a mortgage of 25% of the purchase price of a brand new home and then pay an affordable rent on the share you don’t own. Other options available include schemes where you can supplement a conventional mortgage with an equity loan, in order to afford to buy a house outright.
The HomeBuy Show at St Mary’s Stadium, Britannia Road, Southampton SO14 5FP, will give you the chance to talk to a variety of experts and representatives from local developers and housing associations. As the government’s appointed Homebuy Agent for all Hampshire and the Isle of Wight HomeBuy schemes, Swaythling staff will be able to discuss the opportunities for affordable home ownership in your preferred area.
