Summer Activity For The Kids

Drum Housing, part of Radian, are inviting local children to take part in workshops next week. The activities will allow them to experience drumming, urban voice, freestyle football and street dance workshops, as well as Indian, Irish and African dance and the impressive Capoeira dance from Brazil.

The workshops are taking place at several venues throughout the local area, to offer a range of new experiences to the entire community.

All children who take part in this diverse program of workshops in full, will be given the opportunity to perform their newly acquired skills on the main stage of the Culture In The Park Festival at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on Sunday 13th September.

The workshops will be held between Monday 24th August – Friday 28th August at the following venues throughout East Hampshire:

This exciting project follows a successful series of workshops that took place last year. Drum Housing Association are leading a partnership with Hampshire County Council, East Hampshire District Council, the police and other local Housing Associations including: Swaythling, Home, Kingfisher, A2 Winchester, Downland and Petersfield Housing.

These workshops are open to all children aged 6 to 15, but numbers are strictly limited.
