As a shared ownership customer, you pay monthly rent for the portion of the property which you do not own. Once 'staircased' to 100% ownership, rent will no longer be payable but you may still need to pay service charges for grounds maintenance or upkeep of communal areas.
We prefer you to pay by standing order or direct debit as stated in your shared ownership lease. We collect this on the first banking day of every month. On rare occasions when this proves difficult, we may be able to accept payment by credit or debit card, cheque, postal order. You can pay by telephoning us on 0300 123 1567.
Rents are reviewed once a year in accordance with the terms of your lease. We will send you a letter at least 30 days before any increase takes place and we will inform you of the new rent and when we will collect it.
