Some homes are being offered on a Rent to Buy basis.You would start out renting, with the intention of buying a share in the home at a later date, within a set period of time.
Applicants will undergo a financial assessment, and if this indicates that you have sufficient savings and income level to afford to purchase through Shared Ownership, you will not be offered on the Rent toBuy scheme . The Rent to Home scheme is designed for those that wish to purchase but do not currently have at least a 10% deposit, or are unable to obtain a mortgage from a high street lender at the point of reserving an apartment. Rent to Buy applicants will need to demonstrate they can save towards a deposit in order to purchase the flat within 3 to 5 years.
