As a landlord, employer, local purchaser and service provider, we want to treat everyone equally. To help ensure we meet this goal, we have published an action plan. The plan sets out our commitments for the next two years, to ensure our policies and services reflect the diverse needs and experiences of all the people and communities we serve. It is a framework that will help us fulfil our obligations to the public function equality duties, as set out in the Equality Act 2010. It covers all the existing equality duties, which are race, gender and disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity and socio-economic disadvantage
As a housing association working across a wide area, we are keen to reflect the make-up of the different communities we work for, and to encourage them to take part in all our activities.
As an employer, we seek to recruit and develop a diverse and talented workforce, which is representative of the communities we serve. In line with our values of choice, opportunity and trust, we aim to foster a culture in which people support and develop each other and feel valued for the contribution they make.
