We need your help to make a real difference to the services you and the people who live in your neighbourhood receive!

Three types of funding aim to support and develop the communities we work in....

Community Fund

This fund is designed to support local voluntary or community groups looking for additional funding to support projects which will benefit our residents and the wider community.  This includes:

  • Projects to help resolve a particular issue e.g. anti-social behaviour etc.
  • New or existing projects that will benefit our residents and their families e.g parent and toddler groups, after school clubs, group learning activities etc.
  • Research work that will clearly benefit our residents
  • Partnerships with other organisations to provide projects of long term benefit.
  • Partnership with groups or organisations where the donation will be match-funded to attract further finance into a project.
  • Any other project which will benefit our residents and the communities in which we work.

Life Improvement Grant

As you are best to know the priorities for improving your neighbourhood, this grant has been set up to focus on your suggestions.  Your Area Panel has a limited budget to approve schemes submitted.  The average grant awarded during 2009/10 was £2,500.  Some examples of improvements are:

  • erecting a new fence to improve security
  • improving the appearance of a communal area so it feels safer to use
  • redesigning a shrub bed to help reduce anti-social behaviour

Kick Start Funding

If you're a young person aged between 11 and 18 year and you live in a Radian home, you may be interested in our Kick Start fund! Up to £300 of funding could provide the help you need to help you learn a new skill or take up an interest, e.g. sports coaching or equipment, music or dance tuition or assistance with course fees and travel expenses to and from the training course.  If so, Kick Start Funding could provide financial help to make things like this possible.
