Below are ways you can get involved to make a real difference to the services you and the people who live in your neighbourhood receive. If you're not sure what will suit you please do get in touch with us. We can also help with:
Our Survey said! Help us with a short survey
From time to time we'll send you a survey to ask you what you think of our housing service. You can receive surveys by post, text, web, telephone or we can visit you at home.
Any suggestions please? Bright ideas!
Contact us to let us know how we can improve a service you receive. Or perhaps you have a new idea of something that we can put in place.
Fancy a stroll with a goal? Estate Walkabouts
We'd like you to join us on a walkabout in your area and show us what you're not happy with. Here you and your neighbours can point out issues and get to know your Neighbourhood Officer better. Together we walk around the local area and agree how to resolve any problems or tackle issues such as litter and graffiti. Feedback will be sent to you and your neighbours in a newsletter so you can check that we've done what we agreed.
Are you the person who picks up the newspaper or a magazine and shakes your head every time you see a sentence that doesn't make sense? Our resident checkers check our documents to make sure they are easy to understand before we send them out to lots of people.
Love Grand Designs? Then join our Design Panel
You'll learn about our new schemes and advise on everything from floor plans to fixtures and fittings. We'll also take you on site visits and discuss future plans with you. Be inspired, be inspiring!
Be a local voice! Block or street representative
Do you find that your neighbours often tell you when they're unhappy with something? Then maybe you should become a representative for your block or street. You will listen to the views of your neighbours and meet with us every month to tell us what you need us to know.
Keeping a clear vision! Join a Focus Group
You'll be invited to a meeting along with other residents to give your views on a specific area of our housing service such as your grounds maintenance service.
Creativity at work! The News Team
The News Team works with Area Panels to decide content for the website and your magazine. You can make sure that they include the kind of things you and other residents want to be in the know about! The level of commitment is up to you and your news stories, helpful hints, photos, poetry and even recipes are all welcome. See it? Hear it? Write about it!
Get inspecting! Resident Estate Inspectors
Our Neighbourhood Officers inspect the communal areas where you live to check that they are clean and tidy and meet health & safety standards. Can you help by carrying out estate inspections? You'd monitor the way repairs are reported and make sure that communal repairs are carried out to the agreed standards.
Under the microscope! Resident Auditors
Do you like to get amongst it and solve problems? Do you like to find out exactly what's happening? Why not become a resident auditor! We'll train you and get you ready to audit!
You'll monitor services, collect data and actively report on how well our services are doing.
Undercover boss! Mystery shoppers/phone detectives
Ever wanted to be a detective? A fun way to tell us what you think is to take part in a mystery shop or phone detective work. You'll make telephone calls or mystery shops to check our knowledge and customer service. You'll be given training before testing us. Go on! You know you've always wanted to be a secret agent!
You're hired! Resident Interviewers
We want to make sure the best staff are recruited to provide you with an award winning service. As an interviewer, you would sit on interview panels and ask questions. Good practice if you have to go for an interview!
Specific interest groups
We've set up specific groups so we can really get down to the nitty gritty and keep on improving! Services need to be regularly reviewed and we need your help. By joining one of our interest groups you can share your ideas with us and other residents and make suggestions on how we can improve things. If you'd like to set up another interest group then do let us know!
Anti social behavior group
Get active against crime and join the ASB continuous improvement group.
If you live in sheltered accommodation you could join the forum and meet with other residents to talk to us on how we can help improve things.
The forum meets to talk about housing and community issues affecting our disabled residents and their families. It looks at how we can work together to resolve these issues.
Our leaseholder team want to hear from you! This group was set up so that leaseholders get a chance to meet and share their views on the services they receive. You can find out more about managing agents, service charge calculations and any major works programmes.
LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) group
The purpose of the group is to improve services from a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender resident view point. For example the group have made suggestions on changes to Radian publications to make them LG friendly.
The group meets to consider and discuss the needs of our residents particularly with focus on our black and ethnic minority customers.
Each one of our four Area Panels is made up of 12 lovely people like you and me.
The Area Panels have a broad remit that includes managing an annual budget for environmental projects and a budget to support activities in your community. The Panels also monitor our performance, including how happy you are. They are consulted on new policies and practices before they become part of the service to you
