On 1 February Radian participated in the Dignity in Care campaign. By joining with care providers across the country, we were able to celebrate Dignity Action Day with some of the people supported by Turnstone Support.
Corinne Adams, Alan Dale and Stephen Boyles gave talks about their lives via video conference, linking up each of the Radian offices. They each described what it means to live with a disability and how the support they have received has enabled them to achieve their aspirations and the lives they want.
The Dignity in Care campaign began in 2006, with the aim to inspire health and social care staff and local people to place dignity and compassion at the heart of care services and in their communities.
In turn, Dignity in Action Day allowed Turnstone Support to share and celebrate what they do.
Susan Allwright, Personalisation Lead, who helped organise the day said: "I’d just like to say a big ‘thank-you’ to everyone who attended Dignity Action Day. I hope this event will generate many more opportunities to share and celebrate what we do both with each other and the people we support."
