HomesinHants’ hugely successful HomeBuy show, where first time buyers can discover how Government backed schemes could help them afford their own homes, returns to Southampton on Wednesday.
Over 19 exhibitors, including Housing Associations, developers, solicitors and financial advisers, as well as energy switching company uSwitch, will be available from 3 – 7pm at the The Ageas Bowl (formerly the Rose Bowl), Botley Road, Southampton, SO30 3XH, to offer free advice to prospective buyers. Entry and parking at the stadium is also free.
These shows have been growing in popularity, as tenants currently paying high rents can learn how Government backed schemes might save them money each month as well as giving them a valuable foothold on the property ladder. Visitors can also find out which new homes are available in their preferred areas and how much they would cost. With 550 affordable homes currently available on www.homesinhants.co.uk, representatives will be available to explain each step of the home buying process and discuss how to reduce the costs involved.
A smaller HomeBuy show, held in Basingstoke last week, attracted over 220 visitors, whose feedback was incredibly positive. Most were intrigued to see what options are available and surprised at the choice and how affordable it can be, with many schemes needing a deposit from as low as just £3,000.
Shane, a first time buyer from Fleet said, “It was really useful. Everyone was helpful and friendly and was good to discuss the different options all in one place. It saved a lot of time”.
