Friday 18th May, Eastleigh.
Collins House, Eastleigh was the gathering place for a design workshop involving more than 35 residents, development staff, community involvement staff and architects from the Radian's framework panel, on Friday last. The event brought together residents from across the four Radian area panels.

Peter Coleman, Chairman of the Radian New Business Committee, welcomed the participants to the event and emphasised the importance of Good design in the creation of great places and communities and underlined the benefits to Radian and the residents of well designed homes.
Introducing the day, Jonathan Rickard, head of design and compliance, celebrated that over the past three years Radian has achieved year on year improvements in the level of resident satisfaction with our new homes.. Jonathan outlined the focus of the day to consider how we could improve further external works and landscaping .
Following a series of 'bite sized' presentations the participants took part in a series of 'building for life' assessments looking at a couple of completed schemes that had been delivered over the last few years. This resulted in much animated discussion between architects, radian staff and residents.
After lunch, the residents and some of the staff went on a tour around the sites they had evaluated in the morning and finished off looking at the Radian Code 6 development of 11 houses at 'Stoneham Green' in Southampton.
Summing up the event, Jonathan Rickard thanked everyone for their engagement and contribution to what was considered an extremely successful day and reminded everyone that this was just the start of a journey towards greater involvement by residents and other stakeholders in the creation of great homes and communities for the future.
