Locals Bowled Over By Radian's New Homes

Radian has 'hit a six' with its new development of homes at Boundary View, Woodbridge Road in Guildford, which was declared open this week. Opposite Guildford Cricket Club's ground, this attractive development of 20 new apartments has been built to a high level of energy efficiency, meeting level three of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

The scheme includes a mixture of four rented apartments, three shared ownership and 13 available for open market sale, all offered with allocated parking. This creates a balanced and sustainable mix of 20 new homes available in a highly desirable location.

Energy saving features of the development include high levels of thermal insulation and air tightness for warmth and sound proofing, plus photovoltaic panels on the roof of each block, which will generate electricity and save the occupiers money.

Adding to the amenity of the development is a public art piece embracing the cricketing theme of the locale, which is incorporated into the pedestrian gate. The piece was commissioned from local artist Nick Bates of Burrows Lea Forge.

Describing Boundary View, Radian's Director of Development & New Business, Andrea Smith said, "This is a fabulous scheme in an attractive location and we are delighted to have received so much interest in these homes. Guildford is a great place to live and we at Radian are proud to be offering the opportunity to live in one of the best places in the town".

The scheme was officially opened by Councillor Sarah Creedy, Lead Councillor for Housing and Social Care at Guildford Borough Council on Monday 16 July. After cutting the ribbon, Cllr Creedy commented, "I am delighted to see the completion of this scheme which provides much needed affordable housing close to the town centre. Radian is to be congratulated on this development and upon achieving such a welcome mix of ownership."
