During the year, the development team added nearly 450 new homes to the Radian stock. This was a major achievement given the overall state of the construction sector.
We have worked very closely with residents and other stakeholders during the design stage of new development in order to raise the quality of the finished homes we build and this is reflected in the overall satisfaction score.

Overall, the results illustrate that the overwhelming majority of the homes we built are regarded as being really good by our residents. However, we acknowledge that there remain two significant areas where performance remains an issue and we will be tackling these over the next 12 months. In outline these are:
External issues, focussing on:
lighting to roads and car parking;
Resident satisfaction surveys are sent out to all new homes within three months of occupation. (approx 450 homes in 2010/11).
Of those sent out, we received back just 32% (approx 150 responses)of the questionnaires sent out so the figures should be considered on the basis of this small sample.
We will extend the use of telephone surveys in 2011-12 and will also look to obtain feedback on line, through 'facebook' and other media as appropriate. We are aiming to raise response rates by at least 5% over the next 12 months.
