Adrian Balaci has started his career in 2000 as a consultant while finishing his studies in Budapest. From 2002 he worked as a professional consultant for the country manager of the Hungary Energy Efficiency Co-financing Program, IFC (World Bank Group). In 2005 he was one of the founders of the social-business pilot GESB (Global Environmental & Social Business) (DVD LLC Hungary)
Since then he is leading the creative department, responsible for innovation, social sensibility and charity work done by the company.
He is one of the creator of an innovative financing mechanism, called the Social Housing Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Renovation Program(SHEERER Program), that aims to provide financing solution for green investments in the housing sector, with the goal of decreasing CO2 emissions and energy/fuel poverty. At the core of which operates a Revolving Guarantee Fund that functions as a facilitator between the State/Local Authority, commercial Banks, and the land lord/home owner.
Based on the experienced gained in Hungary, he started working in 2008 on replicating this successful program in other European countries.
Adrian Balaci is also a board member in Amnesty International Hungary and an advisory board member in the Rainbow Mission Foundation, promoting campaigns for universal human rights.
