Ms Aniko Dobi-Rozsa, Senior Green-Financing ExpertView Presentation
In 2005, Aniko co-founded the Global Environmental and Social Business (GESB), a socially and environmentally aware project and business development company. The company is a private developing company specialized in financing energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Aniko has developed the Revolving Guarantee Fund mechanism to support middle to low income borrowers to have access to affordable financing to be able to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and to facilitate green investments in the built environment, the industry as well as small to medium renewable power generations.
Between 1998 and 2005 Aniko worked for the World Bank Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as the country manager of the Hungary Energy Efficiency Co-financing Program, that has been designed to encourage financial intermediaries (FIs) to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects with high environmental and social benefits in the housing, micro, small and medium size and medium-large industrial renewable energy sectors.
Currently Aniko is involved in the Hungarian Presidency of the European Council chairing various expert groups, such as finance, budget and institutions under the Working Party for International Environmental Issues on Climate Change. Her main focus is to contribute to the design of the Global Climate Fund which was established in Cancun at the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC.
