If you are trying to get onto the housing ladder, we may be able to help. We provide good quality, affordable homes to rent, and homes to buy.

Transferring ownership

If you currently have a Shared Ownership property with us and you find your circumstances have changed, you may wish to include or remove a partner from the Lease, this can be done under two circumstances, they are:

Divorce and a Court Order

We are obliged under the terms of the Court Order and the Lease to arrange the transfer to the person who will remain in the property.

Mutual Agreement

If it is a transfer from joint to sole then we will need to be satisfied that the person who is remaining in the property can afford to take on the financial responsibility of the property eg. Mortgage commitment.

If it is a transfer from joint to joint names, we will need to be satisfied that the person who is wishing to be added to the property is eligible under the terms of the lease and under the current Shared Ownership scheme criteria.

You will require Radian's permission to do so. As lenders, we need to give our approval to documentation relating the transfer of ownership or making changes to your lease where our seal of approval is required.

Your home is at risk if you do not keep up rent and mortgage repayments or payments on other loans secured on it.

Costs involved

£90.00 + VAT (£108.00)
