Preparing you for work

The EST team are experienced in helping people who, for a variety of reasons, have lost confidence, have low self-esteem or conditions that affect their physical or mental health. Our in-house team of mentors will work with you on a one-to-one basis to improve your confidence and wellbeing. We can also arrange for you to attend other relevant services in your area including mindfulness courses, counselling and life-coaching (a type of counselling that helps you see your life from a different perspective). With the right support in place you can make positive steps towards employment and often our clients tell us that the routine of work, along with social and financial rewards has improved their wellbeing and outlook on life.

Voluntary work

There are many reasons why people consider work experience and voluntary work.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain a reference and discover more about yourself and what you find enjoyable. It’s also a great way to ease yourself into a new routine.

As well as giving something back to the community, you’ll meet new friends and take away experiences and skills which will look great on your CV!

Experience and voluntary work are particularly beneficial for people looking to build confidence or manage health conditions and are great stepping stones for anyone looking for paid work. Employers look favourably on people who volunteer as it demonstrates qualities and skills that go a long way in the workplace.
