Having supported over 2000 residents with their training needs, our team has developed excellent partnerships with local colleges and training providers and have an extensive knowledge of the huge variety of courses out there. Current Training Courses

Paediatric First Aid

9.30am 4.30pm
30th November  and 14th December
This course covers emergency life saving techniques and gives learners the confidence to use these in an emergency situation.

Cleaning Industry Skills 

9.30am – 2.30pm
Starts 7th January for 6 days
Topics covered include; working in the cleaning industry, principals of cleaning work, health and safety and customer service.  You’ll also have the opportunity to achieve a level 1 laser qualification in cleaning.

Introduction to Construction: Multi – trades

Portsmouth – 2-Week course – Starts 29th November
Andover – Six day course – Starts 9th December
Course covers; Brick & Joinery, woodwork, plumbing, roofing, surveying/setting out, guttering, plastering, working from height, COSH

Introduction to Construction: Heavy Plant

Bordon – 2-Week Course – Starts 2nd December
Course covers; Groundworks (asphalt), excavation, electrical HEA, streetlights, block paving, road marking, spill kit

Introduction to Construction: Highways/Civil Engineering

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Training 

Slough and Hillingdon – 3 day course – Runs every fortnight
Fully funded for 16-26 year olds

Computing for beginners

Mondays, 4 weeks (booking essential)
Includes – Learn to use the internet to job search, Microsoft Word, send, receive and forward emails, attach documents to emails

Getting started with ICT

9.00am – 3.30pm
18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25 and 26 November 2019
This course will give you all the help you need to start using a computer. Learn to use the internet, email and Microsoft Office programmes including Word.

Digital Skills

25th November or 9th December
A one day, confidence-building course for anyone who would like to get started with digital skills.

Improvers ICT

9.00am – 3.30pm
28 and 29 November, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 December 2019
Gain a Level 1 Laser qualification in ICT skills. Designed for those who have some knowledge of computer programmes and software.

Basic IT

Security Industry Skills

As part of this course, you will have the chance to gain a wide range of employment skills alongside studying a qualification in door supervision and CCTV operatives.  This course is suitable for those wishing to work at pubs, festivals and shopping centres as security guards or CCTV operatives.
