We hope you and your families are looking forward to the festive period, and we hope you have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. In order to keep yourselves and neighbours safe, we do not allow customers who live in a flat with an internal communal fire escape route, to place Christmas decorations in communal areas such as hallways, foyers and front doors.
The festive period is a time to celebrate and we want you to have a happy and safe Christmas. Our policies are always designed in the best interests of customer safety. Our commitment to keeping communal areas clear applies at all times of the year including the holiday season. This approach is based on the advice of fire and rescue services and ensures that communal areas are free of any items that could continue the spread of fire or impede safe evacuation of a building in the event of a fire.
Please keep your Christmas decorations inside your home over the festive period. Unfortunately, if we come across Christmas decorations in communal areas, we will need to remove them if we can’t identify who owns them. We will first try to contact you in person, via phone or with a notice to let you know. If we can identify who owns the decorations, we’ll let you know we have them so you can place them inside your home instead.
Your safety is our main priority and we appreciate you working with us to keep you and your neighbours safe over the festive period.
