Project Increase VS
Increase Valorisation Sociale is an innovative, three-year long programme which aims to:
- Bring 4,000 unemployed people through entrepreneurship training
- Create inclusive opportunities for 3,200 people
- Start 1,200 new businesses across the north of France and south of England
A generous grant of £470,000 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has been awarded to us here at Radian and we have contributed an additional £270,000 to deliver the project to a wider group of our residents.
Increase VS is the product of a partnership between ten housing associations and training providers across the south east of England and the north of France, with a total of £5.9 million in funding coming from the ERDF. The University of East Anglia will provide an academic evaluation of the programme, which will enable us to share reports and best practices for all involved in the entrepreneurship field.
Increase VS launched in April 2018 and runs until September2020, offering a 6 step training and support programme for economically excluded people in our neighbourhoods. Radian’s training programme has been written by an external professional to offer participants a high quality, ten week self-employment course. This is followed by up to two years support, including business mentoring, support clubs and markets to sell their goods at.
