Construction is underway at Hatch Farm in West End, where 98 new homes, including 35 affordable properties, are being delivered in partnership between Eastleigh Borough Council, housing provider Radian and Southampton-based construction business Drew Smith.
Located in West End to the south of the M27, Hatch Farm was identified for development by Eastleigh Borough Council within its local plan 2011-2029, before Radian secured full planning approval for the site in June.
Drew Smith, part of regeneration specialist Galliford Try Partnerships, is the development partner building the new scheme.
The new development will include a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, including bungalows, available for affordable rent, shared ownership and open market sale. It will also deliver additional benefits to the immediate area, including woodland extensions, improved pedestrian access links to adjacent recreational areas, a new public skate park and enhanced open space areas.

It is expected that the first homes will be completed in summer 2018, with the development set to be completed by January 2020.
