The wait is over for eager househunters as the highly anticipated development of new homes from award-winning Radian Homes is launched to great acclaim, with first residents expected to move in early next year.
The new development, Quebec Park, from one of the south's leading housebuilders is located on the former site of Quebec Barracks and was opened by East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) Leader Cllr Ferris Cowper as part of the official launch on Friday 2 December. The development consists of 100 high-quality two, three and four-bedroom homes including coach-houses, terraces, townhouses and detached properties.
The first phase release of three and four bedroom homes are priced from £340,000, with Help to Buy available on selected plots to help those looking to take their first or next step on the property ladder.
Guests at the VIP launch enjoyed an exclusive tour around the development with a first look at the new homes at the heart of the regeneration project for Whitehill and Bordon. In addition to the new homes, the regeneration is expected to bring schools, improved transports links, health centres and a new town centre to this area of East Hampshire.
Zoe Bonnington, Assistant Director of New Business, Sales and Marketing at Radian, said: “These new homes are expected to appeal to a wide range of people, from downsizers to first time buyers and young families.
“We’ve already had a great deal of interest from potential buyers, which is not surprising given the superb location, not only are the homes surrounded by the beautiful South Downs, it’s also close to the Surrey border which is perfect for those needing to commute to either Guildford or London.
“The launch was a great success, those who attended were really impressed with the build so far and expressed real excitement as to what it will bring for the future of Whitehill and Bordon.”
The homes at Quebec Park boast the latest energy saving features built within the fabric of the homes, including state-of-the-art solar panels and is set to attract local buyers and those from further afield such as Farnham and Guildford.
Zoe added: “Now is an excellent time to consider purchasing a new home at Quebec Park as the significant regeneration is expected to spark a potential house price rise as a result of the new facilities and amenities the regeneration will bring to the area. We’d encourage anyone interested to get in touch with the sales team to find out more.”
EHDC Leader, Ferris Cowper, said: “The launch event at Quebec Park marks a pivotal moment in the regeneration of Whitehill and Bordon. Up to this point we have been planning and preparing the town for a prosperous and exciting future - this is the point that we can all start to see the tangible benefits right in front of us.
“The new residents will be able to enjoy a fantastic quality of life with green spaces, such as Bordon Inclosure which has numerous community events organised by the Deadwater Valley Trust, or at the Phoenix Theatre nearby. This is a wonderful time for Whitehill and Bordon, its residents and its businesses.”
Complementing the strong community base in the area, a new café will be built onsite at the development, run by Radian’s social enterprise, RKdia, as part of the community hub building.
