Radian is delighted to announce the appointment of James Pennington as Executive Director for Development.
James has extensive experience in the housing sector and has been acting as Development Director since March this year.
Mick Sweeney, Chief Executive at Radian, said:
“I am thrilled to be able to appoint James, he brings with him the experience we need in terms of development and extensive knowledge of our business and a background of working in both the affordable and private housing sectors.
“In the last six months James has demonstrated that he can not only deliver our requirements in terms of development but also provide the stability and strategic direction for the wider organisation.”
James joined Radian in January from Thames Valley Housing Association where was Head of Residential Development, overseeing large development programmes. Prior to this James worked at Barratt Homes, Crest Nicholson and Berkeley Homes. This appointment is the final Executive Director appointment to Radian’s new Executive Board, to deliver its ambitious corporate strategy.
James Pennington added:
“This is a very exciting opportunity to work closely with the Executive team and Radian’s Board to deliver our new corporate strategy. Building on the hard work of the development team we’ll be working to exceed the target of delivering over 3,500 units by 2023.”
Gary Orr who was part of the interview process and takes over the reigns from Mick Sweeney as Chief Executive in October added:
“I am looking forward to working with James at this very important time for Radian and our sector. With Radian having launched a new corporate strategy and development plan it is essential that we have the right experience and enthusiasm in place.”
