Employees at Radian celebrated its 10th anniversary in December. The milestone was marked with a celebration for employees and key members of the community, including the Mayor of Eastleigh, Councillor Des Scott and Councillor Simon Letts, Leader of Southampton City Council. Reaching this significant milestone, the award-winning organisation looked back on its achievements over the past ten years and set out its commitment to continue delivering quality homes and services to its customers and partners over the next decade.
Lindsay Todd, Chief Executive of Radian Group, said: “Over the past 10 years we’ve grown the number of homes we provide and the services we offer, and from the three founding members formed one of the leading housing associations in the South of England. Providing homes and happy customers are what drive us, hence our offering includes employment, skills and training for our residents and local people along with enhanced digital services.
“Not only that, but we have launched SMART, a significant venture into the private rented sector which provides a positive new experience of renting, started to build homes through our Radian Build construction team, and we run the Help to Buy South agency which assists about 4,000 people a year into home purchase.
“Since our formation in 2006, the demand for homes throughout our region has increased dramatically, as population growth has not been matched by the supply of homes. Radian is responding energetically to increase supply, building quality homes for rent and sale across our region, as well as investing in services which help people to find work and manage their income to give them the best opportunity to have a secure home, and play a positive part in their community.”
Describing Radian’s vision for the next 10 years, Lindsay Todd added: “Our focus now is to extend our reach by building more homes of all tenures, working in successful partnerships which support our vision of mixed and vibrant communities. We will continue to find ways of delivering the services customers want which are efficient and accessible so that a Radian home is a place that people value.”
Councillor Des Scott, The Mayor of Eastleigh, said: “Radian has played a significant role in the areas they operate in and have been hugely successful in supporting communities and residents wholeheartedly. I was delighted to have been asked to be part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations and I look forward to seeing how Radian continues to support the local communities in the years to come.”
