Leading south-west housing association LiveWest has agreed a stock transfer of 613 homes across Dorset and Hampshire to Radian Group.
The 37,000-home association selected Radian Group after a competitive tendering process and a six-week consultation period with residents. Radian Group, one of the South’s largest housing providers, was selected as the organisation best placed to deliver local services to residents.
During the consultation residents met with teams from LiveWest and Radian Group, to find out more about how they could shape Radian’s services.
Paul Crawford, Chief Executive, LiveWest said:
“It’s been important to us that the residents’ views have been taken into account during this process. The outcome of our consultation is a positive endorsement of our approach and that residents are in favour of the transfer.
“We chose Radian Group because of their commitment to investing in communities and involving residents in shaping the services that they offer. Their geography is an excellent match so customers will benefit from established local services. Our teams are now working closely to make sure there is a seamless transition for the residents.”
Gary Orr, Chief Executive, Radian Group commented:
“The views of our customers and future customers are important to us and we’re delighted that their feedback has been so positive towards the service that we offer.
“The purchase of these homes aligns with our strategic objectives for growth in areas where we are already established and have existing customers. We look forward to welcoming our new customers and will continue with our commitment to invest in local communities and put our customers at the heart of our business.”
The stock transfer is due to complete by April 2020.
