On Wednesday 4 March, Councillor Helen Price from The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead visited Radian Group’s Castle Farm development to learn more about the group’s strategy as a housing provider on a site where we are using our in-house Construction team.
Castle Farm is situated on the outskirts of Windsor village Dedworth and, once completed, will offer 25 new homes of the highest quality. Located just ten minutes from Windsor’s historic city centre, the development will offer homes for affordable rent, Shared Ownership and open market sale.
On Wednesday Councillor Helen Price attended the Group’s ground-breaking event, celebrating the start of the development, which is expected to reach completion in 2021.
Radian Group’s Director of Development, James Pennington, said:
“We are committed to developing affordable homes for communities based across our geography. Castle Farm is an ideal location for new homes and it was a pleasure to meet Councillor Price today to talk about our plans for the site, as well as our wider aims for increasing homeownership throughout the region.”
Cllr Helen Price commented;
“This is an exciting development, and I welcome the increase in the stock of social housing, so much needed in Windsor.”
Cllr Jon Davey, Ward Councillor for Clewer and Dedworth West said;
“It’s great to see Radian getting more involved in the community. They have listened to my residents’ concerns and will keep me posted on positive improvements. I really appreciate it when large organisations take a local focus in the communities in which they operate. I wish them well with their endeavours.”
Castle Farm follows Bodley Quarter in Windsor, a 98-home development which was completed in April 2019. Both developments underpin the group’s strategy to work on larger projects, utilising their financial strength to effect positive change.
