Our Help to Buy Equity Loan Scheme Portal has been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Home Ownership Solution category at this year’s National Housing Awards.

Since 2014, we have held the Help to Buy Agency contract for the south, delivering a diverse range of housing initiatives. We have developed our own innovative Equity Loan Portal, designed to simplify the process when applying for the Help to Buy: Equity Loan Scheme. It is designed by our IT department in conjunction with outside stakeholders and expert knowledge of the customer journey.
We implemented in three phases: phase one launched in January 2018, allowing customers and financial advisors to submit applications online 24/7. Phase two supports customers’ solicitors in producing accurate vital documents. Phase three is currently in testing stage and will be launched to developers soon.
The key focus and subsequent success in the development of the Equity Loan Portal has been enhancing the customer journey, working smarter with our stakeholders, improving accuracy and reinforcing data protection across the application process. The Portal contains automatic checking and reconciliation against scheme criteria and prepopulated documentation, therefore increasing efficiencies in the house buying process for customers using the Help to Buy Equity Loan to make their purchase.
