We have some more good news to share from Men’s Matters!
After a very successful year already, on 21 June, some of the group visited the Houses of Parliament to attend the Atul Pathak Community Awards 2017, and came away with another award for themselves!
The award means they receive £1,000 in funding, as well as a year’s worth of support from Appt Corporation who will offer them help in areas such as IT, Marketing and Finance.
The award win is very well deserved, and will allow Men’s Matters to support even more older men across Windsor and the surrounding areas.
Men’s Matters was set up in 2015 by Radian with the aim of combatting social isolation and loneliness in older men. The group hosts a range of activities focused on health, wellbeing and learning new life skills, as well as just getting together and making new friends. In 2017, Men’s Matters launched as a registered charity and were delighted their new patron, Sir Michael Parkinson.
The group now meet every Monday from 1.30 to 3.30pm at All Saints Church, Dedworth Road. For more information, visit their website: www.mensmatters.org.uk.
