Involving communities and creating opportunities for residents are vital to create successful, sustainable neighbourhoods where we’d all like to live. Through community-driven projects and employment and training support, we benefit our customers and help keep Radian secure as a business.
Last year we invested over £250,000 in our communities, including in the following key projects:
Development of our two cafes – Round About Café and Cafe 1759 to focus on employment, training, social isolation and health initiatives
A range of training for families on things like healthy eating, cooking and budgeting through our Good Grub Club project
Partnership work with Men’s Matters groups to improve men’s mental health and reduce social isolation and loneliness
Local history projects to provide volunteering and training opportunities and enhance social cohesion
Awarding over £90,000 of Funding & Grants to benefit individuals and community groups
Supporting over 260 residents with employment, support and training, including 76 people supported into paid work
Development of new projects to tackle issues including health and social isolation amongst elderly residents.
