Residents’ Panel

The Residents’ Panel meets every few months to look at information and feedback from residents and neighbourhoods to develop local initiatives and improve satisfaction and customer experience. The panel also decides which grant applications are approved to benefit Radian residents and their communities. The group uses a combination of face to face and online meetings which are usually in the evening for convenience.

Local offers

The Regulator for Social Housing (RSH), who are our regulator, have introduced national standards against which they assess how we are performing as a landlord. One of the requirements is that we develop with residents some local service offers around service delivery, monitoring performance and the reporting of progress and the Residents’ Panel plays a key role in making sure that we do this. The current local offers in place are:

New Developments

The aim of this offer is to review what aspects of moving into a new Radian home on a new development residents are least satisfied with. This also includes identifying any common housing management issues that regularly occur with a view to making recommendations for improvement where possible.

Lower Satisfaction in the Thames area

Evidence has shown that residents living in the Thames area are less satisfied with being consulted and engaged with, as well as with the services they receive. As a result the Residents’ Panel will be working with Radian to carry out consultation with residents in the most affected areas. The feedback gathered will be used to identify any common issues so that the Panel can make well informed recommendations to Radian for change.

Windsor Furniture Project

The furniture project’s aims are to help those in need who move into Radian properties without the essentials living in the Thames area. The project is also intended to help people on low or no income purchase affordable furniture so that they can have more expenditure to spend on priorities such as rent which means they are less likely to end up in arrears. The Panel, Radian staff and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Local Authority are working together on this initiative.
