What does a digital Customer Service Advisor do?
I work in the Digital Customer Service team as a Customer Service Advisor. We cover all types of customer contact for those who prefer not to call us. This includes email, webchat, social media and text.
Our digital team currently consists of six advisors. We’re always looking to improve the way we work so that we can do the best for our customers.
Working for Radian has provided me with the most varied and interesting job I’ve ever had. Radian is a great place to work – we have a nice office environment, a great culture and a real sense of team spirit. I think a lot of this is a result of it being a really rewarding job. We all know we’re making a difference to people’s lives every day.
How have you progressed in your career?
I studied Business Administration at college. However, the jobs I’ve had since then have been customer service based roles as it’s the type of job I enjoy the most. I started off as a Customer Service Advisor in Radian Direct, taking calls in the call centre. When a position arose in the digital Customer Service team, I applied and was pleased to get it.
Eventually, I’d like to move to another role in a different team within the organisation but will only do this when the right opportunity comes along. My team leader knows my ambitions and so we regularly discuss how I can prepare myself for when the right role arises.
As such, she gives me the opportunity to regularly shadow other departments. This means I can learn more about the business and find out what team I would be interested in moving to. My team leader is really supportive of my goals.
