On Wednesday 31 July our Communities & Involvement Manager Cita Jagot attended a meeting about Beyond Bricks; mental health charity Mind’s campaign to support the wellbeing of those who occupy social housing.
The campaign is lobbying the government to ensure mental health is at the heart of their housing policy, designing a housing system that better supports people with their mental wellbeing. It also focuses on tackling the stigma and discrimination that is experienced by people suffering from mental ill health, calling for a cross-government strategy for mental health that defines how all departments will work together to support individuals and families.
We were asked to pledge our support to this vital campaign and were more than happy to do so.
“We had a fantastic meeting to discuss the link between mental health and housing. The housing crisis needs a solution that goes #BeyondBricks.” – Cita Jagot, Communities & Involvement Manager
