Time to Talk Day 2019

Time to Talk Day 2019 is a campaign run by Time to Change; a growing social movement working to change the way we all think and act about mental health problems. Mental Health problems affect one in four of us, yet people are still afraid to talk about it. Having conversations about mental health helps to break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that can affect us all.

This years’ Time to Talk Day on Thursday 7 February is all about bringing together the right ingredients to have a conversation about mental health; whether that might mean arranging to have a cup of tea and a chat with your friends or attending an event near you.

We’re running various events in support of Time to Talk Day:

The Round About Café – Thursday 7 February, Come and have a chat about mental health with our volunteers and enjoy a free hot drink. The Café is open 10am – 4pm

Gosport Borough Cricket Club – Saturday 9 February, the Clubhouse will be hosting an event for you to come along and talk about mental health and the five ways to wellbeing. Free casserole and crusty bread will be available for those who attend.

West Quay – Thursday 7 February,  Local BBC Master Chef Shelina Permalloo of Lakaz Maman will be sharing some of her celebrated dishes with the public at West Quay South to encourage more people to have conversations about mental health.
